BODYGUARD CRUSH SET-UP, with copious amounts of devoted to you, using duty as a front, but really out of love, one feels responsible for the well-being of another, emotional and physical co-dependency, either the person doing the bodyguarding or being bodyguarded can be oblivious, or both are oblivious but have crushes on each other, layered with angst due to differences in position
Integra x Alucard (Hellsing) (The darkest ship in this list. Rather than body-guarding, it’s literally a dog from hell kind of deal, but COUNT AND COUNTESS c’mon, has shades of Actual Married Couple and Servile Snarker with a complete absence of fluff.)
(SERVILE) SNARKER AND WIDE-EYED IDEALIST, a bit like the bodyguard set-up, but something ties the two people together, wherein the one who typically ‘serves’ does it full of snark, but they would literally die for the person they’re bound to, angst as a result of not knowing if the feelings are due to the bond or their own, of course the devotion is all theirs, one party is usually more innocent or believes in the best of people while the other is a cynic or more experienced and world-weary, they learn from each other due to their differing perspectives
WORTHY RIVALS, hate-love relationship, super competitive with each other, the only one allowed to defeat you, equal gender dynamic, tied together with their rivalry, claims to hate each other, but in truth heavily relies and trusts each other, so they fight with each other, but they also fight with each other

BICKERS LIKE A MARRIED COUPLE, also has shades of hate/love, pretends not to care but gets jealous easily, tsundere and tsundere combination, belligerent sexual tension, she’s not my girlfriend/boyfriend! shenanigans
Ueki x Mori (Law of Ueki) (Ueki is a lot more laid-back though, so more like a henpecked husband?)
OPPOSITES ATTRACT delinquent and honor student, uptight loves wild, top of the class with the class clown/flirt/wild child/troublemaker etc., alternatively someone aggressive with someone who’s a pacifist, at first they can’t stand each other because of their opposing traits but that’s what they come to love most in the other, yin-and-yang
Anya and Damian (under the precocious crush category) (they’re just kids, but still cute, and hilarious, as with everything in this series) (Spy x Family)
Zoro and Tashigi (One Piece)

CHILDHOOD FRIENDS, my favorite dynamic, gentle girl and brooding boy, energetic girl with the cool boy, warm and cold, usually person A is popular but only has eyes for person B but person B either only sees them as a friend or is in love with someone else, so much angst, person A will do anything to make person B happy and protect their smiles, overprotective, pining
Yoshimori and Tokine (Kekkaishi) (Yoshimori doesn’t exactly fit most of the qualities but plays this trope straight, oh the pining)
Athy x Lucas (Who Made Me a Princess?) (ok, so this one is a webcomic)
ACTUAL MARRIED COUPLE, not married but really they’re married, domestic fluff, so much shared history, they know each other inside and out, shades of the childhood friends dynamic but having reached its final form, inside jokes, everyone knows, usually the mom and dad of a group, the mature ones, on the angst side, shared trauma, emotional healing, but hella mutually emotionally supportive, they prop each other up, the best team

STEPFORD SMILER AND STRAIGHTFORWARD TSUNDERE, the guy is handsome and seductive, but plain weird, he’s messed up and emotionally constipated, hides his real thoughts, eccentric and flighty, shows his love through weird ways, falls in love with someone fierce and straightforward, guy has self-loathing issues and thinks he doesn’t deserve the girl, girl would knock them silly for their weird displays at the same time for beating themselves up, they believe in each other’s worth and are instrumental to each other’s self confidence, they reaffirm each other, girl usually gets red and flustered, but guy finds that charming about them, usually angel/devil ship

EVERYONE CAN SEE IT, adorable children, the pure and innocent ships, mutual crushes, both are soft charas, they get so shy around each other, how can they not realize their crush has a crush on them??, puppy love, pure and fluffy, nope no angst here, one or both are shy characters
EVERY STUDIO GHIBLI SHIP (THEY’RE ALL SO PURE, THEY FULFILL ALL OF MY SUGARY FLUFF NEEDS)
Souka x Katou (Ah! Itoshi no Banchousama) (I really like this couple’s dynamic, like out of all of these anime guys, I would like a guy like Katou in real life. When oh when will the manga update again?)
Ryou x Hakuou (Shitsuji-sama no okiniiri) (This manga and the above are my comfort reads. I really like their dynamic where the guy is so mothering and caring over their slightly more impulsive partners. Amidst all of the ‘bad boy’ tropes, their relationships are just so refreshing.)
FIRST LOVE, love at first sight, usually dynamics where the girl is the one to fall in love first, love at first sight is cultivated as she gradually gets to know the person and comes to truly love the person for who he is, potential for heartbreak, but there is strength in love, girl remains faithful, guy is usually the cool type character or perhaps callous, and you feel for the girl as she gets her heart broken, and you don’t know how it happens and even the guy doesn’t know how it happens, he wasn’t thinking about love at all but somehow he comes to consider the girl an irreplaceable part of his life now, and the payoff is so so so sweet
DORK IN LOVE WITH A TOUCH OF ABHORRENT ADMIRER, somewhat the reverse of the above, it’s the guy who’s more emotionally open, while the girl’s a bit closed off, guy is an actually puppy and a dumbass dork who wouldn’t hesitate about shouting his love for the girl from the rooftops, but he has his cool and badass moments, he fawns and spoils and can’t shut up about how great the girl is, while the girl is embarrassed or flustered or ticked off or all three, but the girl appreciates and shows her affection for the boy in subtle ways with an exasperated albeit fond ‘well, what can you do’ smile, she’ll still whack him when he gets too silly though
I got obsessed big time with this precious comic and decided to compile in chronological order everything ngozi has ever posted: the comics + tweets + extras + ngozi’s coments/tweets and some fan made stuff.
